Breakfast is served family style in the country kitchen. Residents join others as they awake at their leisure. Breakfasts are saved for residents who prefer to sleep a little later in the morning.

Those who want to stay current, listen and discuss current events, weather, past historical events, horoscopes and other news items of interest.

Morning Movement: Residents participate in various exercise programs that are designed to assure safe and positive movement and success on the part of each person. Physical movement is a vital component of each day and helps to promote a sense of well-being and accomplishment. It maintains physical fitness and assists in releasing negative energy.

Beverage Pick-me-up – we all know we need to hydrate after exercise!

Brain work: Words games, trivia and theme oriented discussions. These challenge the language and memory parts of the brain to keep it as fit as possible.

Residents share in the less complicated tasks associated with meal preparation, such as table setting, pouring beverages and other simple tasks that promote a sense of purpose and well-being.

Lunchtime is a social activity and all are encouraged to engage in conversation. Social engagement promotes an opportunity to assist in preserving the social graces.

Siesta offers residents the opportunity to relax. They are encouraged to nap, listen to quiet music or watch familiar, nostalgic relaxing programs.

Creative Arts - programs for self-expression including arts and crafts, painting, baking, and music groups are designed to preserve fine motor and eye-hand coordination.

Social gathering with refreshments and time to visit with friends

Active games including things like horse shoes, basketball, ring toss, bowling and walking assist in decreasing agitation and promoting positive energy.

Late afternoon groups are designed to calm the residents before the evening meal, not unlike the cocktail hour that many have had for years. Discussion, reminiscing and soft music allow a comfortable family feeling for the residents.
