Deaconess Abundant Life Communities work to enhance and improve the quality of life for our residents, families and their communities. The original Deaconesses made a difference in the lives of those they served so long ago and today our focus is on providing quality living to older adults throughout New England.  As part of our Concord Community Chamberlin apartments were built in 1967, these apartment buildings, the Thoreau, Hawthorne, and Emerson were built to provide affordable residential living to our clergy and community.

Each Chamberlin building has four apartments, two on the ground level and two are a walk up to the second floor. Each apartment has a living room, kitchen, one bedroom, storage in the basement and one reserved parking space. The utilities and maintenance are included in the monthly rent. There are additional amenities available nearby at Newbury Court. Exercise in our fitness center, enjoy a night away from the kitchen and dine in our restaurant, there is a little country store for those items you may have forgotten at the grocery store and a Salon/Barber shop for your convenience. If needed we can build a special service package just to suit your personal needs that include meals, housekeeping, personal care and more.

An application and financial review are required should you desire to join our community.

Providing quality housing, health, and wellness services for aging adults is a hallmark of Deaconess Abundant Life Communities.
